Dennis del Mar, Cabin Sales and Training Manager, plays a key role in shaping the Center’s cabin crew training programs, ensuring they remain aligned with current airline standards and industry expectations.
With decades of hands-on experience in aviation and training, Dennis brings real-world insight into every aspect of the learning journey at PTC Aviation.
Leading Industry-Aligned Cabin Crew Training
As Cabin Sales and Training Manager, Dennis oversees all training classes at PTC Aviation Training Center, from program implementation to day-to-day class monitoring. He works closely with instructors to ensure that training modules reflect actual cabin operations, safety procedures, and service standards expected by airlines today.
His role also includes developing instructors and continuously improving training content to help students build confidence, professionalism, and job readiness, key qualities required in the competitive aviation industry.
Applying Airline Experience to Cabin Crew Training Excellence
Dennis’ approach to flight attendant training is grounded in extensive airline experience. He previously served as a Flight Attendant with Philippine Airlines, Northwest Airlines, and Delta Air Lines, giving him firsthand exposure to international airline operations and service cultures.
This global airline background allows him to translate real cabin scenarios into practical learning experiences, helping students understand not just what airlines expect but how to perform under real-world conditions.
Strong Academic and Professional Credentials
In addition to his aviation career, Dennis holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Dr. Yanga’s Colleges and was the Top Notcher of the 2015 Philippine Nursing Licensure Examination.
He is also a US Registered Nurse (New York, USA), reflecting a strong foundation in discipline, professionalism, and people-focused care, qualities that align closely with cabin crew responsibilities.
Supporting PTC Aviation’s Mission
Beyond training oversight, Dennis actively represents PTC Aviation Training Center Inc. through school and university speaking engagements, helping aspiring aviation professionals learn more about cabin crew careers and the training pathways available to them.
“Everybody, all of us, are wearing colored-lens eyeglasses. So now, I’m going to wear a yellow one. Lahat kayo yellow sa paningin ko. And this is my perception of who you are. Lahat kayo yellow because from my upbringing, from my culture, from my perspective. If I expect na kayo rin dapat yellow, then there would be conflict because some of you are wearing blue lenses …tainted lenses,orange lenses. Iba ibang kulay. So, to see the world clearly, I will invite everybody, figuratively, remove those colored lenses. Alisin natin to see the world as it is. But you have to put on another lens, a clearer lens. but we also have to change the frame into a heart-shaped frame. Ano ibig ko sabhin? We are talking about cultural sensitivity, cultural intelligence, knowledge, skills. pero wag kalimutan ang puso. Don’t forget that we have to serve with our heart. We have to be kind all the time and compassionate.”
