De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde Faculty Immersion at PTC Aviation
Faculty members from De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) recently took part in a faculty immersion at PTC Aviation Training Center, gaining firsthand exposure to an actual aviation training environment and the facilities used to prepare future aviation professionals.
The immersion comes at an exciting time for De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde as the school strengthens its aviation education capabilities with the newly installed Airbus A320 mockup on campus.
The facility is set to provide students with a more immersive and hands-on learning environment as they develop the skills needed for careers in the aviation industry.
Bringing Industry Experience Into the Classroom

For the DLS-CSB faculty, the visit to PTC Aviation Training Center offered a closer look at aviation training practices and the environment in which future aviation professionals develop their technical and practical skills. Learning Inside an Actual Airbus A320 Cabin
What better place to immerse than the PTC Aviation Training Center, where an actual Airbus A320 cabin simulator, flown in from Singapore, provides a realistic training environment for future aviation professionals.
PTC Aviation’s Airbus A320 cabin simulator is more than a mockup. It is the actual aircraft cabin, allowing the DLS-CSB faculty members to experience firsthand the environment, equipment, and procedures they can bring into their own aviation instruction.
The faculty also had the opportunity to learn directly from PTC Aviation instructors who bring decades of flying experience to the training room. Their firsthand knowledge and industry insights provided another valuable layer to the immersion, giving faculty members a deeper understanding of the realities of working onboard an aircraft and the standards expected of aviation professionals.
From the cabin layout and equipment to the practical knowledge shared by experienced aviation professionals, the immersion helped bridge classroom learning with the realities of the aviation industry.
In addition to experiencing the actual Airbus A320 cabin simulator, the DLS-CSB faculty members also had the opportunity for hands-on training with an actual aircraft door using PTC Aviation’s newly installed Door Trainer.
Having a dedicated aircraft door trainer is a significant addition to PTC Aviation Training Center, allowing aviation trainees to become familiar with the mechanics and operation of an aircraft door in a realistic training environment before applying these skills in an actual aircraft setting.
